Our chief engineer and partner, Jorge Grave, provides the latest updates on the progress of our project, Encosta da Luz, located in the beautiful village of Praia da Luz, in the Western Algarve.
Plot 1
The completion of the steel structure is on track and expected by 15 June. This marks a milestone as we move closer to the next phases of construction.
Plot 2
The project for a spacious 340m² house have been finalised. We are preparing to submit these plans for approval to the local council (CM Lagos) in the first half of June. We aim to ensure all designs meet regulatory standards and client expectations.
Plot 3
Installation of technical networks for electricity, water, sewage, and air conditioning are now complete. The exterior walls have been treated with cork thermal insulation, a material to enhance energy efficiency and comfort. We are currently working on closing the interior walls and ceilings, bringing us closer to finishing the interiors.
Plot 4
Interior walls, ceilings, and cork thermal insulation on the exterior walls have been completed. The focus has now shifted to installing ceramic flooring and wall coverings in the bathrooms. Additionally, exterior frames are scheduled to be installed soon.
Plot 5
Carpentry work on the flooring and exterior walls has been completed. We are now working on the exterior thermal insulation with cork and the assembly of the interior wall structures.
Plot 6
Construction for this plot began in March 2024. We have completed the excavation and are currently working on the foundations for the house and paddle court. This foundation work sets the stage for rapid progress in the coming months.
Plot 7
We are pleased to announce that the usage license has been issued and the deed was signed with the client on the 20th of May. This marks the completion and delivery of the first house in the Encosta da Luz project.
Plot 8
The architectural project for this plot has been submitted to the local council (CM Lagos) for licensing. Meanwhile, the engineering projects are underway, ensuring that every detail is meticulously planned.
